FAA Eligible Quickbuild

As most of you know the FAA put on hold the evaluation of Amateur Build kits for better than two years while they reevaluated current policies.  We are proud to announce we have recently received official notice that the new Hummingbird 260L and our Quickbuild kits are eligible as Amateur Build kits and meet the 51% rule.  The standard Hummingbird kit has been eligible since 1993 and was recently reevaluated.  The Quickbuild was developed two years ago to help builders through the sheetmetal construction of the Hummingbird fuselage and tail cone.

 

When you purchase the Quickbuild you receive a factory built fuselage and tail cone.  This includes the lower cabin, upper cabin, firewall, nose, windshields, chin windows, center console, instrument panel, tail cone, tail vertical and horizontal stabilizers, all assembled and sitting on preassembled and installed landing gear.  We perform the entire fabrication, assembly, and riveting of the sheetmetal construction process for you.  Imagine building your own helicopter from a factory built fuselage.  You will learn more about your helicopter so you can maintain and operate it safely unlike operating a factory built production helicopter.  The Quickbuild will expedite the building of your Hummingbird approximately 500 hours.
